Safety for our clients, staff and the community remains our number one priority. We are considering the various ways to provide service while reducing risk of exposure while preventing minimal service interruptions. 

DPCS remains open during this time but please contact your counselor for options regarding in person services. We are preparing staff and clients to download the video app called ZOOM for potential telehealth options. 

DPCS are screening all clients with questions regarding fevers, cough and body ache, in addition to travel within the last 14 days or if they have been exposed to coronavirus in any way. If the answer to any of the above questions above is yes we are advising clients to use telehealth options. Again safety is our number one priority for clients, staff and the community. Telehealth is a temporary option that has been put in place to combat the COVID-19 emergency we currently are facing. 

Clients and family are encouraged to contact their counselor for local community resources available in their area as the COVID-19 situation continues.

MD Mind Health is a new text-based mental health initiative, developed by BHA in partnership with Maryland 211, the state’s crisis hotline. Text “mdmindhealth” 898-211 to receive tips about self-compassion and self-care, community resources, recommended podcasts and apps, inspirational quotes and information on how to get help if needed.
